Suggest Treatment For Cut On Labia Minora After An Accident

My daughter (10yrs) fell on the beam tonight at gymnastics and has a cut on her labia minora. It has stopped bleeding now but had produced a fair amount of blood into her leotard. It stings and she won t let me clean it yet. Any advice? The cut goes horizontally across one labia minora. It looks deep enough to scar.

Pediatrician, Pulmonology 's  Response
Hi...she definitely needs to be seen by a pediatric surgeon or a plastic surgeon. This will require suturing too. It will be painless and will be done under local anesthesia. Ask her not to worry and get her seen by a pediatric surgeon or a plastic surgeon.
