Suggest Treatment For Cut Causing Redness And Swelling On Knuckle Joint

I was washing dishes last night and I got stabbed by a steak knife in what felt like between my knuckle joint near my fingernail. It is red, swollen and very tight. I can t bend it much at all. Should I see a doctor straight away or wait to see if swelling goes down? There is a tiny entry wound but my concern is that it felt like the knife point went between the knuckle joint.

I really appreciate your concern the wound might not be that much deep that could have gone into the joint but this could be infection, in my opinion better to see the Doctor, no need to worry about this with the proper treatment this would be fine soon, take care.
