What is the cure for this Cricopharyngeal Spasm. I have been to several doctor did not really seem to know what was going on. I was told to was strep however that was not the case the issue was still there. I can take some aleve and it brings the problem to I can live with. This is what happens with I eat or drink: This muscle is constantly contracted, closing off the entrance to the esophagus, except when a person swallows, at which point the muscle relaxes momentarily to let the food or liquid pass through.

Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, two distinct conditions are there one is GERD (Gastroesophageal reflux disease ) and second is emotional stress in either of these condition I would suggest to try Tab Omeprazole 40 mg and Domperidone 30 mg once in day at evening time, avoid, coffee, alcohol, smoking, heavy meal prior to bed, low the stress hope this information helps.
