Suggest Treatment For Cramps In The Left Calf

a few weeks ago I thought I had a cramp in my left calf, but as it hung on now for about 4 weeks, including 1 week of rest I think I pulled something. Tonight on the treadmill, I felt/heard a pop in the left calf and felt a sharp pain. the pain is now worse and goes from my left calf to my achilles. I m not sure if I should go to an urgent care, wait to see my md tomorrow or just ice & rest. No bruising or swelling yet, about 1 hour post injury.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
You might have hurt your calf muscle by exercising.
So no need to go to urgent care now.
Better to to apply ice packs, immobilize the leg, take painkiller and muscle relaxant drugs like ibuprofen and thiocolchicoside.
Avoid walking and weight bearing today.
Consult your doctor tomorrow and get done clinical examination of calf to rule out major damage.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
