Suggest Treatment For Cough While On Amoxicillin And Benzonatate
My roomates son had strep .She an I had sinus drainage throat hurting felt like we had a ton on our chest! very hard to breathe I went to the Dr Friday swaved my thoart it came back negative but put me on Amoxicillin an Benzonatate for my cough. It seems like this cough stuff makes me cough. Is this what its suppose to do????

Benzonaate is cough suppressant it is may not needed in your condition why because earlier you don't have cough but after taking you deveoped.
may be secretions in respiratory tract may not come freely without cough lead to cycle of coughing.
If your allergic to Amoxicillin also there may be chances of cough.
If your having viral bronchitis means you will get cough.
Please stop benzonaate and see if symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
