Suggest Treatment For Cough , Sore Throat And Fever

Last few weeks i got a realllly sore throat, follwoed into a really bad fever while we were over seas in singapore, then fever went and 8m left with a really horrible couph... im not couphing up anything exept white/slivia like fluid, this has been happening for about a week.. been on antibiotics and it cleared all the green flem from the fever, but im still couping. Last night i was brething in and it felt as if i had to burp but i didnt, its in the left side its kind of a vibrate/click feeling.... i got horrible pain in my left side of my chest and back from i think i pulled my intercostals... ive done it before and it feels sort of the same. Exept today i was couping and my left side of my chest clinked really hard, bot sure if i cracked a rib or somthing but it felt releaving, since then its extremely painful to coupgh then it was before and its generally more painful

Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
Noted your history of fever, green expectoration, too much of a productive cough, antibiotic treatment and now the chest pain which is making coughing difficult.
My thoughts:
It all started as a viral fever and you got secondary infection alleviating the green cough.
Since the infection has an affinity for the costal cartilages, it is possible that its inflammation is causing severe chest pain. Another possibility of fractured rib due to violent coughing is also known to occur.
I would advise you the following:
Get a clinical evaluation, examination by an ENT and also an X-ray if the chest in two different vies to find out if you have fractured ribs.
Strapping by an elastoplast after full expiration to the area of pain so that the movements are reduced to have reduced pain.
Rest of the treatment depends upon the findings
