General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted the history about 2 year and 10 month old son.
Recurrent fever, loose motions and now red itchy patches are suggestive of some general disease.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Consult another Pediatrician for second opinion and insist for investigations in details.
Blood: CBC, liver, kidney function, IgE, for typhoid and tuberculosis and whichever is suggested by the Pediatrician.
Tests of stool and urine.
X-ray Chest and Ultrasonography of abdomen.
All these will help to get an appropriate diagnosis and thus allow a proper definitive management, symptomatic and supportive treatment with antihistamine to be continued.
Also take an opinion of a Dermatologist, investigate and treated accordingly for skin lesion.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant,
