Suggest Treatment For Cough , Cold , Body Pain And Headache

my wife has a severe headache, weakness and body pain since yesterday, this could possibly be as we ate junk pani puri at a roadside eatery on friday night. on saturday i consulted a doctor who prescribed nimulid 100 mg. in the afternoon after having one dose she felt better but the pain started again after midnight. she also has mild cough and cold.

I understand your concern for your wife.
History of cough, cold, body pain and headache are symptoms typically indicative of upper respiratory tract infection (URTI).
Kindly take the following measures, which should make her feel better.
1. Tablet. Paracetamol 650mg twice a day for 3 days.
2. Tablet. Levocetrizine 10mg once a day for 5 days.
3. Syrup containing Ambroxyl, Phenylephrine and Guaifenesin 5 ml thrice a day for 3 days.
4. Salt water gargling with warm water twice daily.
5. Medicated throat lozenges, as necessary.
In case she produces sputum which is yellow or green color, which indicates infection, she needs to add antibiotic Tablet.Azhithromycin 500mg once a day for 3 days.
