Hi I am having wheezing problem since I have moved to Mumbai. There is no hereditary problem related to asthama in my family. I got married in Mumbai in 2007. That winter I did not have much problem. By March 2008 I delivered a baby boy (C section). In the same year in winters I had cough and wheezing. My physician suggested to use Rotacap inhaler (Seroflow 100) for three months. Later I did not have the problem. But again in 2009 winters I faced same problem with increase in wheezing. This year I am facing the breathlessnesss and wheezing even in May. Please suggest a good doctor
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. By your history and description, possibility of seasonal (winter) bronchitis is more likely in your case. So better to consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test). PFT will not only diagnose bronchitis but it will also tell you about severity of the disease and treatment is based on severity only. You will mostly improve with inhaled bronchodilators (formoterol or salmeterol) and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) (budesonide or fluticasone). Oral combination of antihistamine (levocetrizine or fexofenadine) and anti allergic (montelukast) once a day at night during winter is also beneficial. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
