Suggest Treatment For Cough And Runny Nose In A Toddler
Hello Doctor, My son is 3.5 year old. He frequently get cough and running nose more often. But he does not ha wheezing problem. Our doctor prescribe him levonin inhailer. Is Levonin correct medicin for my son? Your answer is much appreciated. Thank you. - Santosh
Understanding your concern. As per your query your toddler have symptoms of cough and runny nose which is due to viral infection of respiratory tract and it could be co infection of bacteria.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to use vaporizers rub in small quantity.
- Use room humidifiers as well to prevent any allergic reaction to child.
Your physician prescribed you correct inhaler medication, you should take it in small quantity to avoid dependence. I would advise you to visit pediatrician once and get it examined if symptoms keeps on persisting. Start treatment after proper diagnosis. Get sinus x ray and chest X-ray done if symptoms keeps on persisting.
