Suggest Treatment For Cough And Phlegm Inside Throat

I have been coughing a lot lately. It is as if the very base of my throat is swollen. It doesn t hurt but just causes me to cough a lot. I especially notice it after drinking a cold soda. Sometime I cough hard and it produces phelem. Do you have any ideas on what might be causing this?

1. cough with phlegm is usually due to infection or allergy.
2. Avoid cold food, as it further irritates the throat.
3. Salt water gargling and mucolytics like ambroxol will be helpful. Avoid exposure to dust. No fever, antibiotics not necessary.
