I have a G6pd baby and he is 11 months old now, he has a cough and a clog nose. I am giving him disudrin since wednesday (Dec. 21, 2016). Is disudrin okay for G6pd baby? Please advise what would be the best home remedies i can safely give to him to relief his clog nose and what over the counter medicine i can give him for his cough?

hi,the baby is g6pd deficient plus the age is just 11 months,I would suggest do not give any otc medicine or any other without consulting your doctor.Take the baby to pediatrician, for cough and the nasal congestion keep the baby warm, avoid exposure to cold.cover ears and put warm clothes.it can be due to infection so its better to take the baby to doctor rather than waiting. As baby is g6pd deficient there are many medicines which can affect the baby's health if given without consulting a doctor and its safe to give medicines to any child with doctor's advice.
