Suggest Treatment For Cough And Hoarseness In Voice
For about 3 weeks I've been coughing some at night and sometimes my voice is hoarse during the day. I don't cough during the day it seems. No mucous or blood. Just a dry cough at night, most nights. It's been hot here in So. California and I have 2 portable fans going in my room all night. Should I see a physician for a chest xray?
As ear your query you have dry cough along with hoarseness in voice . The symptoms you mention in query are pointing towards a condition known as acidic reflux . The condition occur when acidic content of stomach come upward due to upper esophagussphincter dysfunction and cause irritation to the lining of throat and to larynx . I woudl suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order endoscopy or X-ray of upper digestive track along with ambulatory acid test . Doctor may prescribe H2 blocker or proton pump inhibitor . Foe now eat light and non spicy food specially at night , eat at least one hour before going to bed and eat small meals .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
