Suggest Treatment For Cough And Body Ache

Hi, I have a question. So this morning my body all of a sudden started aching & when I cough my chests hurt. I run track but usually it s just my legs that are sore but this time its my whole body. I never stay sore after 2 days. And my body ache has just started this morning. My mother felt my head & sides of my neck & said that I am not sick but does that mean anything?Am I at an early age of the flu?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It is possible, as you stated, that you might be experiencing the early flu. Additional symptoms may develop over the next day or two.

Paracetamol/Tylenol can be used for the aches and pain. A cough suppressant can help reduce the coughing eg dextromethorphan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
