Hi, can I have costochondiritis on my right rib cage. I ve had this strangulation feeling when I move a certain way since my daughter was born 30 years ago. The dr pushed on my ribs to get her unstuck or something. Now it s getting worse. It happens all the time.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello , welcome to HCM. If it has happened after delivery, i am doubtful if it is costochondritis. More ever it is there from past 30 years. I wonder if it is just muscle spasm which may happen after delivery. This because your tummy will be over stretched during pregnancy. so after delivery these muscles will have tendency for contractions. Take more water and do regular muscle exercise of that area. slowly it settles down. You can always confirm the diagnosis from a physician. Take care
