Suggest Treatment For Costochondritis

About 9 months ago I did severe physical efforts for several days, and about a week later I developed costochondritis on both sides of the lower chest, and also PVCs and PACs. All cardilogical tests, including cardiac cath, were negative, and I was prescribed Flecainide by a cardiologist, neither him or internists I saw gave any importance to the simultaneous appearance of those different symptoms. Is there any treatment for this syndrome?

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Costochondritis is inflammation of the junctions where the upper ribs join the cartilage that holds them to the breastbone (sternum).
causes localized chest wall pain and tenderness that can be reproduced by pushing on the involved cartilage in the front of the rib cage.
Costochondritis is a relatively harmless musculoskeletal chest pain and usually resolves without treatment
Treatment of typical costochondritis often involves conservative measures, such as local heat or ice applications
Medications to reduce inflammation, such as ibuprofen or naproxen can be helpful. These should be taken with food and not taken by people with stomach problems, ulcers, kidney disease, or bleeding disorders.
Avoid unnecessary exercise or activities that make the symptoms .
consult a pulmonologist or an orthopaedician who can prescribe you the above mentioned medications
you can disscuss the treatment modalities
