Suggest Treatment For Costochondritis

I was dygnoises of costochondritis and the pain I feel when I sneeze is horrible . Coughing as well hurts but I can cough light if I have to. Also after I sneeze not only does it hurt really bad but it gets tight and is very uncompfortable. When I drive along way it will trigger it and aleve or advil does help take the edge off. I feel this isn t normal and have a dr appt wed,. I got sick dec 18th with the flu then by dec 28th was back at the dr who said I had acute bronchitis and sinus infection. I never coughed so hard so much in my life. what do you think

I can understand your concern.
Possibility of costochondritis is more for your current symptoms.
It is inflammation of rib cartilage. And pain worsens when cartilage is moving during coughing, sneezing etc.
So do following things for better symptomatic relief.
1. Avoid heavyweight lifting and strenuous exercise.
2. Avoid movements causing pain. Avoid bad postures in sleep.
3. Take painkiller and anti inflammatory drugs.
4. Apply warm water pad on affected areas.
5. Wear rib belt to prevent mobilisation of painful areas.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these in 1-2 weeks.
