Suggest Treatment For Constipation In A Newborn

Hi, My baby girl is 10 days old. I m just got a couple of questions. My baby is constipated and she really tries to push for a poo. Is there anything I can do to help as I was told it is normal for it as she is on formula milk? Also after half of the feelings during the day she brings up some milk is this normal? Through out the day mainly after feelings she tends to tease her stomach and crys sometimes especially around the start of the night. I have read into this and it says somany things I don t know what to believe. Can you possible shine a light on what this could be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think the formula milk she is having is not suitable for her that's why she is constipated and crying. The fact that she may throw up some milk after feeding is normal.

I can advise you to check the way you prepare formula, possibly you may need to add more water. If she still has the difficulties you said then change formula.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
