Suggest Treatment For Constipation Along With Pain In The Pelvic Region
My friend has been experiencing constipation with pain in the pelvic area along with back pain for several weeks. There is no bleeding in the stools. He says it feels like pressure in the anal region. He has been taking fiber and has extreme gas pains. For the past several days, he has been tender in the abdominal region from the stomach down.
Based on you introduction your friend has fecal impaction due to taking fibers and but not enough fluids. This problem may require enemas or manual removal to relieve the situation. Enemas should not be done routinely to treat constipation because they disrupt normal defecation reflexes and the may becomes dependent. Disimpaction by enemas treatment includes three enemas per day: - The first enema of the day includes the use of a phosphate-based enema, plus 1 liter of saline solution. - The second and third enema of the day includes only the saline solution and no phosphate-based enema.
Also I would prescribed a stool softener or a laxative for short-term use only: Senna tea or Glycerin suppositories.
Hope my answer will be helpful for your friend.
All the best!
