Suggest Treatment For Constipation After Having Angiogram

my dad just had angiogram few days ago and has been discharged from the hospital. He has been on several drugs and now is constipated. Please advise is there something safe that can take to solve this? is it safe for him to take anema? what about duphalac? his sugar level is on the high side (which is 8 )today but he is not a diabetic..

Take Duphalac 10ml every 6 hours. Also encourage oral fluid and fiber intake. No need of enema at this stage. Also if there is a surgeon available have Digital Rectal Examination done for impacted stools
