Suggest Treatment For Constant Nausea And Loose Stools

I have constant nausea. Feels slightly better once I eat food. but resumes again within 30 minutes to an hour. I also have had a change in bowel movement for the last 4 weeks. once a day but then it is very loose and explosive. Currently on blood thinners - Xaralto and Crestor. I have high cholesterol (under control with tablets) and heart arythmia.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Since you are having loose stools take adequate water to keep yourself hydrated. Visit ER, get physically examined by a GP. Get CBC, Urinalysis, liver function tests done. In the meantime take boiled food, stay away from spicy oily food.

Take anti diarrheals, Loperamide(Imodeum), Pepto-Bismol, etc. You can take liver tonics. If you start throwing up(start vomiting), you will need intravenous fluid & symptomatic support. Avoid alcohol & addictions if any.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
