Suggest Treatment For Cold And Dry Cough In Infant

My baby is 6 months and having cold and dry cough. Her pediatrician prescribed fenistil for 10 drops every 12 hrs for 5 days. Her weight is 7.75 kg . It seems that my baby is having a hard time. Do we need to have a cough syrup in additional to fenistil?

thank you for posting your query in healthcaremagic.com....

well fenistil is an antihistamine medication used for allegry and sometimes allergic cough...this should be sufficient to tackle the cough and cold....alongside, you can give her ambrodil (ambroxol) syrup twice daily if it does not decrease with the above...
continue breast-feeding....

hope this was useful.....
