HI ,MY NAME IS AMINATH,MY SON IS HAVING A COLD AND HE HAVES MUCUS IN HIS THROAT .HE IS ENABLE TO SLEEP WELL DUE TO THE BLOCKAGE OF THROAT DUE TO THE GATHERING OF MUCUS IN HIS THROAT AND HAVE A NOSE BLOCKAGE SOMETIMES AND OTHER TIMES A RUNNY NOSE WHAT MEDICINE IS SUITABLE FOR HIM TO USE IN THIS CONDITION

I understand the concern for your son.
Runny nose, cold and throat congestion could be caused due to nasal allergy and can be treated by the following means:
1. Use if nasal decongestant syrups which contains Levocetrizine and Ambroxyl combinations 5 ml thrice a day.
2. Salt water gargling with warm water thrice daily.
However, he needs to get evaluated by an ENT surgeon to assess the status of his adenoids and tonsils. In case it requires to be attended, further management can be planned accordingly.
