General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,my name is Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi.
I understand your concern.
I suggest you the to do a stool test for clostridium difficile first.
Treatment consists in:
-antibiotic therapy with oral metronidazole or oral vancomycin (in those who are intolerant to metronidazole) for 10-14 days.
-probiotics

Hope it helps.
Kind regards!
