Suggest Treatment For Clogged Ears With Ringing Sound

As of Saturday, my right ear is totally clogged and a shrill ringing? Went to dr Monday and he said I had no infection. Must be allergies. I have never had allergies. He recommended antihistamines. Prior to Saturday I had a very minor sore throat but barely noticeable. It is same now as Saturday. I m chewing gum, blew up a balloon, etc. what do I do now.

As per your complain tinnitus and blocked ear can occur due to causes like excess ear wax buildup,ear infection,ageing, side effect of certain medicines, Meniere's disease, stiffening of bones in middle er, high blood pressure and heart diseases,TMJ problems [jaw join disorders] etc..

I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Otoscopy, X RAYS,MRI scan,Audiometry etc can help in diagnosis and treatment can be advised accordingly..

As tinnitus is not a disease and is an indication of some underlying disease, therefore treatment of the underlying cause of the symptoms will help in resolution of the condition..
Cleaning excess ear wax, advising antibiotics, anti-inflammatory painkillers and decongestant for infection, while anti depressants like Diazepam can help in relieving anxiety as well as tinnitus..
