Hi Doctor, Ive had an left ear infection 7 months ago since then I've had blocked left ear which comes & go with hearing loss & fullness to the ear which has made me depressed & unable to concentrate. Also I have my left side of the nose completely blocked with no sense of smell. I have been prescribed nasal spray & antibiotics to use for 3 months also have been advised by my doctor that there is no permanent cure for my Condition. Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have clogged ears causing hearing loss in left ear, well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but it seems to me that the symptoms occur probably due to punchured ear drum, accumulation of wax and severe infection in your ear. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist again for proper examination. Doctor may order certain test like CT scan and examine ear with otoscope. avoid touching and pricking it with sharp object. Doctor may prescribe stronger antibiotics at least or 10 days along with anti inflammatory , anti allergic and analgesic . Doctor may also recommend you patching of ear drum , tympanoplasty or hearing aid .

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns.

As per your complain it seems that you have ear infection and along with it there is infection in the sinuses leading to blocked nose as well as blocked er and fullness and loss of hearing can be due to fluid accumulation behind the ear drum..
You should consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and otoscopic ear examination and MRI of sinuses can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly..
Antibiotics, painkillers, decongestant and saline nasal irrigation, steam inahalation can help in clearing up nose as well as ear and at times manual drainage of the ear and surgical drainage of the sinuses can help in relieving..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
