Suggest Treatment For Chronic Post Nasal Drip

Hello Doctor, My son (10 Years old) has allergic rhinitis and chronic post nasal drip.He feels ticklish sensation in his throat when he sleeps and makes sounds continuously ten to twelve times as if when he is trying to clear it. What is the treatment for this? Secondly this continues in the morning also when he sneezes. When the cold stays for the whole day , next day he starts coughing and slowly wheeze like symptoms appear . The cough some times turns to chronic cough through out the day. when he runs or plays it is as if he is breathing through the nose. The doctor gave him Azithromycin and ventroiline syrup. He gets well but this continues every 2 - 3 weeks. What should i do? Will Montex Lc prevent this type of allergic rhinites induced wheezing?

Hi
Thanks for writing to healthcare magic.
Allergic rhinitis with wheezing intermittently needs
a) nasal sprays containing steroids and antihistamines.
b) similar steroid inhalers.
Only regular use and frequent followups will result in control and cure.
Montek of is only for intermittent mild stage . You can try but if there is no improvement, follow as I suggested above
Regards
