I have had a chronic post nasal drip since 2008 which was one of the symptoms of an acute and sudden illness. It began with a severe post nasal drip that began one night. So bad it nearly killed me.Other symptoms were a white tongue, fevers, severe stomachaches, achy body/joints, heaviness in chest, vaginal discharge, etc.I believe it was candida due to a bad diet. ( pasta, sugar, junk food) Over the years I got rid of all the symptoms except the post nasal drip.I ve been to an eye, ear, nose docter-he found no infection.I went to an allergist-nothing.Others docters have not helped cause no one can tell me what is causing the drip. (prescription nasal sprays don t help) I did a food allergy test and found a few things I m allergic to like milk and garlic and egg whites and tried cutting those out of the diet. One docter claimed I have the drip because I eat late at night. Research tells me acid reflux can cause post nasal drip.So I wonder if taking a medicine for that would help as well as not lying down after eating till 3 hours pass. I have been prescribed pantoprazole sodium but haven t taken it yet. Also a docter told me my blood is too thick because of high blood sugar.A blood test revealed I am pre-diabetic. To thin my blood, would drinking more water help as well as ginko biloba? Back to the post nasal drip-how can I determine what the cause is? If I can find that out, I could stop it.
