Suggest Treatment For Chronic Migraine Headaches

I have chronic tension stress headaches which have morphed into migrain headache for the last two weeks. I take Butalbital/APAP/Caff. It only helps with the tension headaches. I get demoral shots when they get bad. How often can I get demoral shots? And is there anything else I can do. Tried Tramadol, Esgic, Diazapam (currantly taking) Please help

Understanding your concern .As per your query you have chronic migraine headaches which is not getting better with treatment . Well there can be many reasons responsible for migraine like hormonal changes , foods , aged cheeses, salty foods and caffeinated product . I would suggest you to consult neurologist for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may prescription antidepressants , antiepileptics and calcium channel blockers .Doctor may also recommend Botox injections in scalp could be tried as an effective long lasting symptoms treatment. Severe migraine can also be treated by the use of ergot alkaloid drugs. These drugs need to be taken under the supervision of your doctor.
