I have been suffering from headache since my elementary school days.I have gone to many doctors n they said it is migraine.Last time i went for check up with another doctor,he told me i have fibromyalgia...a stress disorder....he prescribe some medicines called serta 25 and amitone-10...do these medicines have side effect? i still suffer from headache which is affecting my work and health.I am 30yrs old,45kg and my height is 5.2
I read your query and I'm sorry about the long standing issues you're experiencing. Regarding the prescribed drugs, I am not sure I agree with the combination. They are both antidepressants (sertraline and amitriptyline), belonging to different groups, but still with similar mechanism of action and side effects. Separately they make sense because both are used in prevention of migraine as well as fibromyalgia, it's their combination I am against due to likelihood of interactions. I can't speak for the exact diagnosis cause you don't provide enough data. Fibromyalgia is commonly a disorder producing generalised pain and tenderness, rather then just headache. Feel free to ask further questions. Hope to have been of some help.
