Suggest Treatment For Chronic Fatigue

I have angioedema of the face and neck when I eat solid food. It was caused by an hormonal implant. I have had chronic fatigue for 18 years and apparently my body Is ultra sensitive which is why they say this happened to me. I live on 3 to 4daily of the liquid foods from my doctor. I have been like this for 4 years now and I am struggling with my mental health and the physical side of feeling empty and wanting desperately to eat but being much more ill when I do. The inside of my throat swells as well so I used to panick as I couldn t breath properly . I eat about once or twice a week as I am able mainly fish and vegetables . Is there any support group or any help I can get with this ?because I feel like a non person and I feel like this is sending me insane.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Since you are complaining of swelling on the inside of your throat, you are suggested to visit ER, get physically examined by a GP, get admitted.

Swelling of the throat & airways can be life-threatening. You need intravenous fluid & antibiotic support.

You are getting weak & dehydrated, your electrolyte balance is disturbed & you might be hypoglycemic as well so you are getting panicky.

You need to be fed properly. Take liquid diet presently. After your swelling gets reduced you may eat semi-solid food.

Your treating doctor will take care if you can be fed liquid food naturally or via nasogastric tube feeding.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
