Suggest Treatment For Chronic Depression And Anxiety

what would be the most effective medication to treat major depression and generalized anxiety. I tried just about them all. I am under a lot of stress and can only afford so much . I have had this condition for 30 years. I really am struggling to find the proper med that works long term. thank you

There are different types of antidepressants available and the response would vary from one individual to the next.

The main categories of anti depressants are : SSRIs, SNRI.

Examples would be citalopram, escitalopram, fluoxetine, setraline, paroxetine, venlafaxine

It can sometimes take a few weeks before there is an effect.
