Suggest Treatment For Chronic Cough And Numbness In The Neck

I am a non smoker, but seem to have an annoying persistent cough, i have a constant rattle in my lungs and especially when I have done something physically taxing, my face within the last 2-3 month has been abnormally puffy. Have had pain and stiffness in neck and numbness in collar area of shoulders and neck and in arms and fingers of both hands. For 2 or 3 months water retention and swelling in legs and feet, swollen glands in neck and throat, frequent urination, dizzy spells, and blank out spells, even at work, like my mind goes somewhere and all of the sudden I am startled back to reality, this has become disconcerting as it happens to me at work, and I work at a custermer service call center and it affects my performance I have frequent hacking spells, and feel like my lungs are are constantly filled up with fluid and have frequent mild headaches, I have a burning numbness across shoulders

Welcome to HealthCareMagic. Your query has been assigned to me and I am happy to assist you today for the health issues you raised.

This seems to be due to emphysema that is a disease of the lungs in which there is damage to the terminal areas of respiratory system--the alveoli and their capillaries. There is now less area for exchange of gases and less supply of blood to the area causing troubles as you are feeling.

Some of the symptoms overlap with Asthma and this is why physical examination and some diagnostic tests are needed to be carried out. So I request you to consult a Pulmonologist for following up in this case. Treatment will definitely be decided after differential disgnoses are ruled out. You may be prescribed antibiotics, antiallergics, antiinflammatory medicines, corticosteroids, cough suppressants and some more if needed.

In home remedies you should keep away from allergens and dust. Take at least 8-10glasses of water to drink. Keep a vaporizor in your room for ease in respiration.

Hope it was all you needed the answer for. If you have some more questions or doubts in mind, please let us know to help you. We are all a team of best experts from all over the world to assist patients online. Give your feedback to help us make this service even better.
