Suggest Treatment For Chronic Constipation

My mother has chronic constipation. Last night, after having stomach pain for days, she spent hours with vomiting and diarrhea. She said when she threw up, it looked like mud. Her stomach pains are now back, and I'm concerned she has an obstruction. She is scheduled for a scan tomorrow morning. Should she go to the ED or wait it out?

Hello,
I would suggest uou get to the ED as she need a physical examination to dteremine whether it indeed is a obstruction or ileus. We need to check if he blood pressure is normal or if her abdomen is distended. In case she is unable to take orally she might need intravenoudsfluids
