My 3 yrs 9 months old daughter has a tendency to get throat pain after taking little bit icecream or cold drinks or cold water. She is now suffering from severe throat pain (without fever) and cant swallow anything. Can t sleep in the night. I have maxtra syrup, tIxilyx syrup, Pyrugesic Ds , Tminic cold syrup? which can be given to her? or any thing else needed? Please suggest...
Take him to ENT doctor once his throat should be checked with ENT instruments, mostly adenoid are causes, so need to be treated (1 mg / 2.5 mg per 1 ml is dose for kids 3 years) and take prescription from a pediatrician as there doses are low and few repeated salts too in them 5mg/2.5 mg per 5 ml (Dextromethorphan, Phenylephrine) is for kid best is take him to ENT surgeon.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
