Hi,

I guess you are sure of diagnosis (in chickenpox, there will be fever and blisters all around, starting around head and spreading downwards). I used to give Acyclovir and acetaminophen along with an antihistamine to relieve itching. Your doctor will guide in this. Acetaminophen will relieve pain to some extent. If significant, you can give Mefanamic acid (100mg/5ml suspension 4ml) for pain.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
