Suggest Treatment For Chest Pain Lasts For 20 Min

hi.i just experience an on and off chestpain lasting for 15-20 minutes, the first day and subsided.took aspirin and slept the whole night. Had to wake up early for work,it happened again maybe for 5 minute, pressure on left sideof my chest, and gone to work. During lunch hour it came back and iiit radiates to my shoulder and slowly down to my left arm.I am not too worried thinking if this is reall a heart attack i will be dead by now.It was my co worker who insisted me to go to occ health. I had a very bad family history. My mom died of stroke, dad died of right ventricular failure,my sister died at age 47 of heart attack, and in family side two died of stroke, tripple bypass in early age.In ER my Ecg,chest X ray and blood work is normak and i'm feeling like an idiot waiting for them to tell me that everything is normal. I reall dont know what to do now. Would you mind telling mr whats the next step i have to do. Thanks in advance

Hello
I have gone through your question and understand your concern. Chest pain of cardiac origin can still be the cause with ECG changes, even high intake of caffeine causes chest pain by increasing heart rate. Right now it is not necessary to undergo any further test but you should consider seeing a cardiologist if pain reoccurs and radiates to shoulder, back, jaw along with any other symptoms like shortness of breath, increased heart rate, sweating. Gastric diseases also cause chest pain take some over the counter antacid to see if this reduces pain.
And also the next time you go for health check-up test your lipid profile and ultrasound abdomen for better understanding of the cause behind pain. For now your condition can be classified as Atypical chest pain .Hope your concern is answered. Thank you.
