Suggest Treatment For Chest Congestion

Last night i experienced severe chest tightenting and tingling down my arm. The tingling has come and gone over the last couple of years but the chest was so bad it kept me up all night, i could not lie on my left side or back due to the increase in discomfort. I am not looking forward to tonight :(, My father was diagnosed with a hyatal hernia some years back and i was wondering if this could be the same thing or should i be concerned that its worse. When i am standing or sitting upright most of the symtoms get better but dont completely leave. I dont know what to do i dont have insurance cause i was hurt in an on the job accident and my insurance ran out and i cannot afford to get new insurance with no job and living on 60% of my previous wages. I just would like some kind of relief.

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Hello,

As you explain the history the first thing that should be excluded is a heart. But you should go to the ER as an emergency if you feel it again.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Jnikolla, Pulmonologist
