Pulmonologist 's  Response
thanks for your question
I completely understand your question
first thing that needs to be done is stop smoking if you are a current smoker
bronchitis / copd is a disease which occurs in people who work in polluted atmosphere and those who smoke .
you need to consult a pulmonologist who can start you now on some broad spectrum antibiotics for your worsening cough.
pulmonologist can request for a spirometry , chest xray to diagnose accurately the disease and according to the stage of disease he may prescribe you the inhaled medications which are now a days corner stone of therapy in copd / chronic bronchitis patients
thanks
feel free to ask more questions
may god bless you with good health
