Suggest Treatment For Cervical Dystonia

I have cervical dystonia and TD that comes and goes on my face. I know that Neurocrine came up with a drug Ingrezza. Overall I am healthy and am well informed about what and how to eat healthy. There is a side effect with this new drug called QT prolongation. My heart is fine. BUt with time could I get a heart arrythmia or some other form of a heart ticker problem? I am in a dilemma. Howefer, my TD and CD is pretty bad and has isolated me. By the way a doctor back in 2005 gave me abilify which I did not want to take. I just took 5 pills that was in a sample pack. I was not told that I could get TD.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Qt prolongation is a rare side effect and happens only with a heavy dose.

If you are worried so much you can consult your physician and ask for alternatives.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
