Suggest Treatment For Cellulitis In The Ear

I have cellulitis of the ear and face and have been prescribed phenoxymethylpenicillin 250mg 2 x 4tds plus flucloxacillin 500mg 1 x 4tds I have started to take them yesterday (that or stay in hospital on an iv drip) and just realised that I have been taking double the dose of flucloxacillin, I was in agony, tired and have taken 3 x double doses by mistake. Do I need to go to hospital? Last dose was 3 hours ago, I don t feel any worse than yesterday but worried now. Thank you

Hi. 3 higher doses of flucloxacillin wont probably do any harm. So, relax. Is your cellulitis getting better? If it does not show signs of improvement in say 48 hours, you should rush to hospital. Cellulitis in face area carries high risk. Thanks
