Suggest Treatment For Cancerous Tumour In The Right Lung

Hello, my husband has a cancerous tumor in his upper r. lung, causing pain in his shoulder. His oncologist has suggested opdivo infusions twice a week for three months. Is this the best way to have this medication, or can it be administered at home with injections?

I can understand your concern.
Opdivo is brand name for nivolumab.
Nivolumab is monoclonal antibody (cancer drug) used mainly for lung cancer.
So opdivo is basically a chemotherapy.
And chemotherapy drugs should never be given at home.
It should always be given under doctor's supervision in the hospital only.
So opdivo can not be administered at home.
