Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have bursitis in my hip joint and I had a codine shot two weeks ago and it started to get worse after awhile. I have been unable to walk for over a week and have been taking advil and Tylenol with codine for relief, I have also applied cold packs. Will the pain ever go away. I have been resting for over two weeks now.

Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist, Tehzib Saiyed's Response
Dear Sir/ Madam,
I would advice you to see the physiotherapist.
Apart from Ice, rest and pain killer which you have been taking already physiotherapist will treat you with ultrasound. Ultrasound will help in reducing inflammation and pain at localized area.
If still the pain does not come down I would advice you to seek a consultation with orthopeadic doctor and get anMRI done to see underline cause and treat accordingly.
I hope my answer will help you and given required information. If you have any further query, do revert back to me,I will be happy to assist you. Your thank you note will be very much appreciated!!
