Suggest Treatment For Burning Sensation In Stomach

I have constant burning & tenderness in my stomach lining (immediately under the esophagus) & have noticed more difficulty taking a full breath in. It is very tender upon touch & somewhat painful when breathing in. The pain also affects my heart/chest. Could you provide any ideas/information as to what it may be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Pain and tenderness in the center of the chest may be related to costochondritis.

This is inflammation in the chest where the sternum meets the ribs.
It can sometimes cause severe pain.

It is treated with anti inflammatory pain killers such as naproxen, ibuprofen, cataflam.

These are available over the counter. If the over the counter meds are not effective then your doctor can prescribe stronger medications.

I hope this helps
