Hello there,
Any accidental exposure of chemical will cause such kind of symtoms. Since you have adequately washed your eyes do start on artificial tears such genteal/refresh. use it every 2 hours along with prohylactic antibioic eye drops four times a day (ciprofloxacin). If its mild your symptoms will get better. However make sure that you have adequately washed your eyes with water. If symptoms persists consult ophthalmologist at the earliest.

Hope this was helpfu.
Thankyou.
