Suggest Treatment For Bump On Lower Lip

A few months ago I had a small bum on my lower lip that looked somewhat like a zit. I waited a few days and tried to pop it with my fingernails. Very little puss came out then it bled so I left it alone. A few days later once a scab had formed I got in the shower and tried to remove the scab and it bled again. Since then it will scab up repeatedly with hard scab and the other side is white like a zit and it has gotten lot bigger and noticeable. I have tried wart remover, abreva, lysine and nothing is working. Everytime the scab is removed it bleeds and it gets bigger. I m assuming it s not a wart, canker or cold sore as those treatments did absolutely nothing. Any suggestions?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain a small bump can be due to a few reasons like:
1.Bacterial infection..
2.Viral infection causing Cold Sores..
3.Sun blister due to overexposure to sun..
4 Fordyces spot..
5.Acne.

As there is scab formation and you continuously injure it by trying to remove it, it is getting bigger as it is not getting chance to heal naturally..
You should not touch it again and again and once should consult a dermatologist to get evaluated for the exact cause of it..

In case of Bacterial infection you should apply TRIPLE ANTIBIOTIC Ointment over it at least three to four times a day..

In case of Herpes abreva which is not an over the counter antiviral medicine so instead of it you need to apply an antiviral ointment and Oral Antiviral Medication has to be taken..
As sun blisters heal themselves and fordyce's spot are harmless they do not require much of Medication ..

You can do cold compresses over the lip..

Apply thick coat of Petroleum jey over lips as it will soften the scab and will help in healing faster..
Avoid licking and biting the lip..
