Suggest Treatment For Bump On Head After A Fall

My daughter fell and hit her head on the asphalt which resulted in an approximately half dollar sized goose egg. To The injured area was iced immediately and there is no sign of an open wound. My concern is what I may not be seeing. My daughter is acting normally, does not have a fever, neck ache or head ache. Her vision seems fine as well and doesn t feel nauseous or faint. Do you suggest a visit to an emergency clinic or could I wait until the morning and fallow up with our family physician?

Hello,
Welcome to Health Care Magic. It seems as per your explanation your daughter has scalp haematoma, but the size seems to be large. Also in view of large haematoma you must consult a neurosurgeon for to be sure that nothing goes wrong. In the mean time you can apply ointment such as trombophob locally 3 times a day on the haematoma gently with light massage. If haematoma will not disappear neurosurgeon will opt probably for drainage.
