Suggest Treatment For Bulging Veins After A Failed VNUS Closure Procedure
I had a failed VNUS Closure Procedure on my left leg over 18 months ago. Now the nerve is damaged and the veins are much, much worse. The doctor responsible wants to strip the veins: I do not want this. Can find no second opinion. The leg is dumb at sight of incision and up and down from the left groin to the foot Very uncomfortable. The veins in front are bulging and much worse. What procedure can help and where in CT. I have NO other medical problems and take no drugs of any kind.
Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I carefully passed through your question and would explain that it is necessary performing an angio CT scan to investigate for the actual anatomy of your leg vessels. As the nerves have been damaged, a nerve conduction study would be necessary to examine the point of compression and orient toward the possible neuro-surgical solutions. Only after these tests, you should discuss about stripping your resting veins, as it seems that the first surgery has been unsuccessful.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Ilir Sharka
