Hello,

Sorry to hear what you are going through.

Annulus fibrosus bulging is part of disk degeneration. Your symptoms suggest that the disk bulge is squeezing on the nerves and thus causing pain and numbness.
There are three treatment arms for degenerative disk disease.
The first is analgesics (pain meds). This is usually very short term.
The second is physiotherapy. This can take some months to achieve optimal results.
The third is surgery. This can be via a procedure called microdiskectomy (minimally invasive) or open surgery.

When numbness or weakness sets in with patients in my practice, I advocate for surgery. As the bulges you have seem small, I would favour a microdiskectomy. It is a day care procedure and in experienced hands, the relief can be quite brisk.

All the best.
