Suggest Treatment For Bruising On Hand After An Injury

I poked the inside of my wrist today while cleaning right where the veins are and now, a few hours later there is what seems like a blood clot and the skin is starting to bruise. I m quite certain I busted a vein. It hurts and my hand is kind of tingling. What should I do? Can I do something at home? Do I need a Doctor?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Respected Sir, hi I evaluated the query thoroughly. It`s case of minor inflammatory reaction following injury. At home all you can do is immersing the affected part in solution of leukwarm water mixed with antiseptic liquid for 10-15 minutes 3-4 times a day. for pain can take analgesic tablets mor and eve after meals for 2 days.In my clinic I prescribe cephalosporin group of antibiotics after clinical assessment of the patient for 2-3 days. hope this helps you dear and if required after 2 days can visit your family doctor if at all needed. thanks regards bye take care wishing you a fast and speedy recovery.
